ACE Score Quiz
Adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) are potentially traumatic experiences during childhood. Explore ten traditional categories, then find support that fits your needs—not a label or a prediction.
Adults 18+ · 10 optional questions · About 3–5 minutes
Before you begin
Questions mention abuse, neglect, sexual violence, family substance use, and suicide attempts. Think only about experiences before your 18th birthday. You may skip any question or stop whenever you wish. You do not need to revisit painful memories to get support.
No account required. This quiz does not save or send your answers. They stay in this page’s memory and clear when you leave or refresh.
Under 18? Reach out to a safe, trusted adult or a healthcare professional. You can browse support without taking this quiz.

Original plain-language paraphrases of the ten traditional CDC–Kaiser ACE categories, not the official questionnaire or a validated clinical screen. Each “Yes” counts once; ten “Yes/No” answers give a category count from 0 to 10. Any skipped or uncertain answer means only a partial reflection is shown. No risk tier or diagnosis is assigned.
The historical questions have limits: for example, the sexual abuse item specifies an adult or a five-year age gap, and the household violence item refers to a mother or stepmother. Harm outside those definitions is still real and deserves support. Research associations describe groups, not an individual’s future.
